It's rarely red. It's usually brown/pink.

It's impossible to tell without a test. I got my period 7mo pp (also breastfeeding), so hopefully it's the same for you! Here are some home remedies you can try, but ultimately you should buy a test if you don't get your period. You can order cheap tests on Amazon and they arrive in 2 days.
