Def in need of some mom advice. So my husband has an almost 3 year old with another women we barley ever see her and just recently we started to see her and get to have a sleepover 1 day with her half sister. Well now we are getting her full time bc the mom can't do it anymore. I'm freaking out. From going from just a weekend mom who doesn't have to take care of all the super important stuff to now being a full time mom to a 3 year old who I barley know. I'm freaking out

I think that if her bio momma "can't do it" then she needs you now more than ever. Her world will be turned upside down and it's important for her to have a strong female role model in her life. Just remember she is part of your husband and know that she is just as much your daughter as his. Give that little girl lots of love and know god wouldn't give you anything you couldn't handle 💕

I have a stepson who we have 50/50 custody of. I'm sure it's hard to even think about right now, but make sure your husband and his daughters mother get something in writing made legal. It would be heartbreaking for your family and especially the daughter if in a year the mother shows back up and says I'm ready again. She will be older and much more aware of what is happening.
Other than that, just be there for her, be prepared for rough days and nights and really good ones.

Update:: the mother decided she wasn't ready to let go and didn't want us her father to have her so she gave the rights to her parents. So where we stand is trying to figure out about going to fight for full custody. The grandparents do not need to be her parents she has a mom and a dad and when the mom can't do the job then dad should and it shouldn't be up for a discussion but it is.
