I had a great experience, first dose at 2am, second at 6am... by 8am I was in active labor 1-2minutes apart, no pitocin, no pain meds needed! Delivered my daughter at 1:50... they expected it to take 24-48 hours before my daughter arrived, it was less than 12! 😅 if I need to be induced again, I'm planning to request it again

With my son it worked like a charm, first try. With my daughter they inserted 3, 24 hours apart. I was miserable. I ended with a c-section. You start getting contractions once you are dilating and if it's working (nurses will check you) then you'll most likely get pitocin to speed up the process. You can not get out of your bed because you'll have a bunch of machine checking you and the baby.

I got the first dose around 2am, second at 6am, had pitocin, didn't notice any contractions until around noon, got some sort of pain relief while waiting for the epidural, got the epidural and before 4pm I had delivered my kiddo. I think the cervidil did what it was supposed to do. I was slow to dilate until I got the epidural and then once I was able to relax I dilated much faster but that's usually backwards to other people's experiences.

Cervidil worked great for me! I didn't need to picotin. I think it took about ten hours for me to get dilated to 9.
