Well, we just got home from the hospital... This was definitely one of the most stressful days of my life... Xavier's surgery went well. They had us stay in the room while they administered the anesthesia, that literally broke my heart... But, we're home now and comforting a very angry baby... Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and prayers... The picture was taken before surgery......

Penile chordee repair and circumcision. His foreskin wasn't fully formed at birth and the urologist wanted to wait until he was over 6 months old to do the surgery because he had to be put under general anesthesia, and because he wasn't able to take Motrin prior to that...

Thanks... What sucks is, when I was pregnant, I forced myself to watch circumcision videos so I'd be more informed about what they actually go through, and I'd decided NOT to circumcise him at all once I'd seen the videos. Then he was born with a "deficient foreskin" and "hypospadias w/ penile chordee" and the choice was no longer mine...... @momof3cuties

I understand...my boys was both at birth only because my dad wasn't. and in his 30's he got a real bad infection and it almost killed him....so he was older and it hurt him more...

@momof3cuties my sister didn't circumcise my nephews because her boyfriend wouldn't let her (he's not circumcized either due to cultural beliefs)... But now that they're older (5&7) and both need to be circumcized coz they keep getting infections....... It's crazy coz in a lot of other countries, men aren't circumcized and are perfectly fine... I don't understand why it's so different here...
