I found out last week that I was pregnant and have a trip scheduled to Paris and Amsterdam. I'll be 7.5 weeks pregnant when I leave for the vacation. I've read so much about avoiding cheese, etc. I'm debating on going or cancelling. Any experiences or advice?

@jennd, Read the completely wrong I thought you meant on planning your trip around 7.5 months pregnant since your 7 weeks now. Oh no your fine I would just recommend walking walk in forth on the alle Iv been flying long distance since I found out I was pregnant and had to stop at 26 weeks

@ellieinmybelly thank you. I think it's because most of the cheese in Europe is unpasteurized. That's what makes it potentially dangerous. I love cheese tho!!!!

@katiesmiles1 I'm only 7 weeks pregnant so I doubt giving birth on the plane is a concern but you're right about the swollen feet. I am definitely concerned about being super uncomfortable the entire trip. My morning sickness has been awful.

I don't think cheese is what you should worry about. A flight to Paris from here is about 14-16 hours long what you should worry about is not giving birth on the plane , or getting really swollen from sitting for so long. I would schedule it prior to you turning 7 months.

Only thing is to make sure the cheese is pasteurized other than that, go have fun! I wouldn't cancel a trip just because of that.
