Yes, it will be absolutely exciting for him to be able to choose and do that with you. I know my son loved it!
Yeah, such a scary thought, especially if it can be prevented. Good luck to you momma. It's sad, but it's so fun! Especially when he gets excited to sleep in it. You might have a few rough nights of getting him to actually stay in bed, but don't get discouraged.

@sbusse1108, that's a wonderful idea! I will definitely do that with him lol. & you're absolutely right about the safety, I don't want to chance it bc they could break their neck if they land wrong.

I know it's like he's growing so fast, but it's not worth his safety. And not to mention, he will absolutely love it! Especially if you let him pick the bedding he wants.

@sbusse1108, yesss!! My son is doing the same thing as well! He sleeps in the playpen bc I was afraid to leave him the crib. But he can still climb out of the playpen. Well, I guess it's time for a bed now.

My son was about a year and a half. He kept finding ways to climb out of his crib. I got to the point where I was concerned for his safety and didn't want to risk something bad happening to him. So we switched his bed to a toddler bed.
