Sorry for the long post. Opinions on if what a friend said to me was rude...so I have a friend who is a nutritionist/trainer. She went on a diet and lost a lot of weight in a months time so I asked her about it. She made me a meal plan and I started 2 days ago but today I quit for 3 reasons. 1: too harsh for Justice since I'm breastfeeding 2: its hard on me cause I shouldn't have to watch the clock to see when I can eat again and 3: my friend made me feel real bad.
So today I woke up ate breakfast and 2 snacks 2-3 hours in between each according to the meal plan, but when it came to lunch my hubby was making a double cheeseburger and was rubbing it in my face. (I'm not mad at him for that) I had a turkey burger with a lettuce bun anyways, I got upset and I kept zoning out regretting it so I asked my LC did she think it was too harsh on Justice she said yes and on my body as well so she gave me all the do's and don'ts and so I decided to quit but before I did I told my friend:
Me: I was regretting it and having a hard time Her: Well don't waste my time and go back to how you were before (Out of respect I really don't like wasting anyone's time so if I don't like something I'll let you know)
Me: I don't want to I was just informing you about my troubles
Her: Well you gotta get through the hard part to get results.
Me: I know I don't want to get fatter with health problems (I'm only 177 5months postpartum with some baby weight still and no health problems. Honestly I'm depressed and insecure about my body)
Her: Keep acting like this and you will.
I was hurt then when I told her I quit and why she said its fine. Was that rude? Or is it just me?

Oh, it was rude. It's not like you didn't try. When you realized it wasn't good for you right now, you stopped, but you didn't waste her time!

sounds like you need a new friend... friends are suppose to support you. you can loose weight and not changing your diet, portion control. I know it works because I've done it. I eat unhealthy and I've lost all my baby weight plus some. I tend to pull away from nutritionist because it's their job to make everyone eat healthy. but in reality who really has the time to eat healthy 24/7... it's a full time job to cook, and prepare your food and your whole eating schedule. health freaks make time for that, but I have a two month old and she is needy at times where all my time and energy goes to her and I eat what I can when I can. I'm sorry your friend was rude to you. try not to be bummed about it.

@johnnysmommy16 lol thanks.
@nomaci thank you for your opinion! I was so confused like did I do something wrong?
@dawnrose thank you, I eat pretty healthy though I love veggies and fruits, I don't really like fried foods, I don't like candy anymore, I bake and sautee everything I cook, I don't really drink soda or sugary drinks, I love water and apple juice, etc. So it has to be the portion control so I'll work on that. And I agree I can't eat healthy 24/7 every now and then I do treat myself to ice cream or something but lately I've been eating fruit Popsicles. It really is time consuming to cook and prep meals especially with a 2 year old and 5 month old. And I totally understand when Justice was 2 months all my attention was on him now that he's 5 months I have a little more time to myself but not much. And thank you for the advice!
@beebaby thank you I understand eating right doesn't stop me from being able to breastfeed but it cut out a lot of stuff! It was really strict...
No sugar no salt no carbs no seasonings no artificial/processed foods, dark veggies, no sauces, no red meat no fruit after 3pm only bananas peaches and apples 1 a day and carrots and tomatoes Greek yogurt with plain oats, no dairy other than the yogurt and rice cakes with almond butter, 6oz of meat a day eating 5-6 times a day and a gallon of water

@beebaby I'm not saying its not healthy, it is. But the portions were very small and I wouldn't get enough calories since I'm breastfeeding since you need more than usual. I asked my LC and she said I would need to intake a lot of vitamin c to absorb the nutrients I was getting and that wasn't allowed. The meal plan was 2 pages long and I couldn't substitute it had to be exactly like she had said

Did she actually go to school and get a masters degree in nutrition or is she just a personal trainer? If she's just a personal trainer, she's out of her scope of practice and she's very ill-informed. No carbs? Carbs are essential for energy. No SEASONINGS? That's absolutely ridiculous.

@scurlock.mommy she's just a personal trainer and yeah it was ridiculous smh

@skyy12221 she can actually lose her certification by giving out meal plans when she's not licensed to. I'm studying to be a personal trainer and we are only allowed to give basic information that is readily available to everyone (things like the food pyramid). If someone wants a meal plan we are to refer them to a licensed nutritionist. Hopefully you didn't pay her for that BS plan! She should probably study a little more lmao, sounds like she deprived her body of a lot.
