Has anyone had a baby with RSV? What were the symptoms? I'm starting to psych myself out bc her cold isn't getting any…

@santistevanmommie yes! She has a tooth making its way through. I think that's part of why she's coughing so much. She's got SO MUCH DROOL. that mixed with the congestion which doesn't sound nearly as bad anymore.

Well when caleigha is teething she gets cold symptoms. Runny nose, congestion, and coughing.

@valentinasmommy @santistevanmommie so I've been checking on her every 30 minutes and I haven't seen her head move or anything except for just that once. I've been giving her zarbees and I think it's helping. She's up now and she's coughing a bit but doesn't sound bad and she ate just fine for the second time. No sneezing or runny nose and she's super happy too! Not mucus either. My boyfriend swears up and down it's just a cold.

They admitted my son we stayed in there for two and a half weeks they isolated him away from other babies we had to wear mask and gloves and a gown. They should admit ur Lo especially if there congested cause it affects there breathing and respiratory... depending on how bad ur baby is cause they also can put them on breathing machines to help them breathe..

The 1st time I went to the hospital they didn't do nothing. They just released us and said it takes 2-4 weeks to clear up. But two days later that we went. They gave us a nebulizer and some medicine.

@dreeex will they do anything for her if she tests positive?

@scurlock.mommy, they first put a strip in her nose to get mucus that was for the flu. And it was negative so they said they were going to test for RSV. So the nurse suctioned her nurse and they used that mucus.

Ask them to test ur LO they put a sunction in there nose and sunction out mucus and test it.. it is uncomfortable for them

My son got released from NICU with RSV it's like a cold to them, very congested and cough.

@santistevanmommie I just checked on her and her head is going back and forth, but her breathing is normal.

Last week my daughter started to get cold symptoms, she was only congested. 3 days passed by and the cold never went away. She started to cough and everytime she would cough she would get really red as if it was hard for her to breath when she coughed. So we tooked her to the hospital. The first thing they did was test for flu and it was negative. But she wasn't wheezing or anything. And thank God doctor decided to test RSV. And it was positive. 2 days later we had to take her back again because she started to get fever and the symptoms weren't going away.

So just be careful not all babies show the symptoms. Take her to her pediatrician.

Look at her tummy. When she's breathing does her belly suck under her ribs? That's a symptom. Also when she's sleeping does her head rock back and forth as she's breathing
