Failed my glucose... joy. Anyone else deal with the lovely 3 hour test? Experience? And worst case anyone dealing with gestational diabetes? Wondering about the process
@usafwife, thank you for your response. Nice to hear that it can be managed without intervention! Best of luck to you next Friday!
Thank you all so much for your responses, I appreciate it. So much worry involved in pregnancy! Now to step away from the Valentine's Day candy lol
@courtmarie, I failed both with both my pregnancies and have been able to manage by diet both times. No medicine or shots or anything like that! I stayed away from sweets MOST of the time and I was fine. My daughter was perfect! My son is coming by c section next Friday and is technically too small which is why he is being born early - nothing which has to do with GD! The 3 hour test was awful and they ended up putting me in a room and I slept in between blood draws. Good luck!
I failed my 1h, too. I Remember I worried and avoided any high glucose food for a week and took my iPad and watched my series in the 3h lol and passed it 😓 - so, pls don't worry!!!
I failed my 1hr glucose test and failed my 3hr test as well. I ended up with gestional diabetes
I did. I hated it. It made me so groggy and dizzy. The nurse set up chairs for me so I could lay down during it. I passed it though. I brought OJ and cookies to eat as soon as I was done. The 1-hour test isn't always 100%, you can fail that and not have a problem. Good luck!!!
@courtmarie, Thank you!
