**Rant warning**
Am I wrong? Before you decide to have a child you have a certain carefree way of life (as you'd say) in a way that you don't have another human to worry about or look after. BUT if and when you decide to being another human life into this world, whether you like it or not your daily habits, hobbys and routines MUST change. My boyfriend was a social outcast therefore was on his phone 24/7. When we met it got better after talking to him about it and saying that I feel a bit left out or neglected in a way. So it got better. We as a unit decided to bring a child into this world knowing full well that this baby would need out 100% attention and affection at all times. But it seems like he again is hiding away on the virtual world called the Internet. But in my case I have changed my way of living on a day to day basis. I don't get to have my free time because I made the adult decision to bring another life into the world. When his sister talked to us about why we both felt a bit indifferent about each other I brought up that he's always on his phone. He's sits our son in front of the tv just to sit right behind him on the couch to be on his phone. And then when I bring up that he needs to interact with our child more I get told "well ashley, you can't change the man completely." Excuse me if I'm wrong but telling a man to get off his damn phone and interact with his child is NOT changing him at all. It is simply stating that hey you know what, there's something more important then what's on your phone screen. And that something is sitting right in front of your face. So in short, I'm just expected to change my day to day and when I ask him to make a small adjustment I'm literally changing him completely. Ummm WHAT????
Mind you I was more then happy to change my day to day, It honestly just came naturally after my son came. Because in all honestly he is my world and I want nothing more in the world but to spend every waking minute I can with him.
