Good afternoon mamas!!!! My son has a HORRIBLE diaper rash. I have tried a warm bath with baking soda in it he didn't even keep his bottom in the water. When he poops I put him in the tub and rinse it off that way. I put vaseline and his butt cream on him after every diaper change. He little bottom keeps getting redder and redder. What's some things you guys do or use for your babies diaper rashes when they get really bad?

He has his 12 month check up tomorrow so I'm gonna ask his doctor tomorrow.

Let him go withour a diaper after every change for at least an hour if you can get him to go that long. My son just went through this twice from teething and the diarrhea messed his butt up! The baking soda bath didn't do shit but make a blister on his butt and maaaaan was it painful to hear him cry in pain. Change his diaper every 2 hours. As soon as he poops change it. If you're out and need to use wipes use Boogie Wipes. Their for their nose but its still a wipe. My dr recommended those. Keep applying the diaper cream too. ALOT of it. I heard coconut oil helps also.

I tried the whole no diaper thing after his bath and he pooped and pee on the carpet. I couldn't get mad cause I know his butt hurts really bad. But I'm gonna do it again. Thanks ladies

When my three had diaper rash, I always changed them more frequently and I would put a really thick layer of diaper cream on in between each change as a protective barrier. It would always clear things up pretty quickly. Hope he's on the mend soon!
