Some people do it early because their babies have reflux problems, so the cereal/oatmeal helps with that at times@clara_eakin

Just watch with the cereal inside the bottle because it can be a choking hazard but otherwise I know my nephew gets some in his bottle to help with his reflux he's been getting it since 6-8 weeks

But my 7 month old hates cereal won't eat any of them lol

Well what is the reason the doctor said to giving her rice? Rice has been proven to cause obesity and dependent on carbs. (No judging my son had it from 4-6 months) but he was small and I never put it in his bottle. She could be going through a growth spurt?

My daughter is 4 months and she eats 6 oz every 3-4 hours and she's chunky lol idk maybe try giving her 7 oz? @clara_eakin

@clara_eakin, I mean you can try it out. I was a huge baby who ate all the time I know my mom gave it to me at times and I am just fine.

Idk it's totally up to you! Just be cautious about choking with it. Maybe only do it at night so she can sleep longer?

I give my baby girl some every now and then but very little just so I can introduce it to her system, cause I'm always worried she's going to get constipated.@clara_eakin

@clara_eakin, yeah I mean, if she wants to eat I'd keep feeding her no matter what, but you know your baby best. I definitely don't think it would really cause any harm to try it but rice is constipating I would see if they Ok oatmeal cereal. But a second opinion would def be your best option

Rice won't keep her fuller longer. That's a myth. Definitely talk to her, you might have to switch formula. Or she could be going threw a growth spurt

I put a pinch of rice in my 7 week olds bottle at night and it makes her full and she sleeps right through the night and it spaces out her feeds for the day then too

We tried it at 6 months, when WIC started giving it to her, but we only did it twice. It constipated her so bad, and I felt so bad about it. That was the Only time we tried it.
