Only 14 weeks until she's here and I only have a bag of hand me downs for her. I have a Walmart registry going but not a soul has bought anything from it. I don't want to lean on mother in law but she's reassured me everything will be OK. Her room hasn't been painted yet because we are switching room and putting her in our room we are in now, but we can't switch to the back until it's painted and we don't have money for paint right now... I'm stressing myself out over it because honestly 14* weeks isn't very long to get everything we need... AHHHHHH

Get your baby daddy to ask then. It's his mom anyways. I fortunately am best friends with my mother in law so if I need anything I just ask. If I'm sick she takes care of me and whatever I need done around my house. She's been more of a mother to me than my own mother has been so I'm very grateful for that woman.
@fit_mom yes April 29th our church came to us and asked if they could. Of course I won't turn down help from his mom, but, it's weird if I ask because I don't have that tight of a relationship with her..... it's not a bad one just never had time to get to know her because she lives 12 hrs away
Are you having a baby shower? My in laws had to buy a lot of stuff for our baby too and literally just paid our rent for two months so we wouldn't be homeless. I know it sucks feeling like your asking one person to do so much. But I'm sure she understands what y'all are going through and is happy to help. I know my mother in law is. She loves her son more than anything and there isn't anything she wouldn't do for him or myself. Especially for the baby.
@musicash89 yes u have plenty of time. I on the other and have a crib and a stroller still in the box and only one outfit and starting to have contractions. not enough for labor thank God. but yes u have time! it will come together don't worry.
@fit_mom I just hate to ask his mom for all this help because she's helped so much when we got off the streets to get into our place after being homeless 6 weeks. I just hate that she will be basically getting everything we need for her....
You have plenty of time! I have 12w and no one has purchased from my registry either. It's someone annoying. Just breathe mama. It'll all come together. ☺️
I know what I was meaning to ask y'all . Is it true that at the age of one your baby would have to switch to sippy cups because of their teeth rotting out?
The nurse told me I would have to stop Carmen from drinking out of bottles since she's has been switched to whole milk because it will start rotting out her teeth.🤔 Help me understand because either way wouldn't the whole milk still be in her mouth unless you brush her teeth ?
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
So fucking pissed. My niece drew all over my daughters wall in her playroom. I tell my sister about it and she had the nerve to fucking laugh. If that were my daughter and she did that to her house I'd be paying for new painted walls!! then had the nerve to say "she's only two". (She's allowed to do that at their house) well here she got her ass busted and put in time out until her mother gets here. Now I have to figure out how get this crayon off the damn walls with out them being ruined. fml...
I need a bigger house we have 5 adults and 1 child in our house and it's a 2 bedroom trailer. Karen has her room then me and hubby have our room then our 2 roommate sleep in the living room 😭 too many people in our house!
My 6 year old and I got our nails done today. She got her first manicure and they painted Olaf on her thumb! Some people have expressed that they think she's to young to be getting a manicure. I used the manicure as a bribe to get her to stop biting her nails and if it works...I'm going to keep taking her bi weekly when I go for a fill. I remember my parents not letting me get a manicure until I was in high school. Is it really so strange for a little girl to regularly get manicures?

I'm kinda without a family except his and they are all in Illinois and Iowa... just different kind of mom than I've ever known.... my mother is the sweetest thing ever but she's disowned me and I can't bring myself to come to his mom like I would if my mother actually was there for me.
