I've been having some abnormal spotting lately in between my period. today there was a little more blood then normal too. my doctor said it could possibly be a side affect of my birth control. should I take a pregnancy test?

Whenever I start birth control, especially since it's a low dose one, I spot for a few months, sometimes light, sometimes heavier.

I have been having the same issue, or I am on and off bleeding for the whole month. I took a test this morning just in case and it was negative. You can always test just to be sure.
