Take him to the Dr to get eye drops for the infection. Until you can get him in try putting a warm clean wash cloth on it . Keep his habds really clean to prevent spreading it and try not to let him rub his eyes. Once you get the medicine it will go away pretty quickly. FYI it's pretty contagious so be sure to clean all blankies, lovies, and pillows, and don't reuse your wash cloths or towels till infection is gone. My little guy just got over it too.
