ever since my son was born i dont want my dogs around him or even in the house. my dogs used to be my babies before my son, idk why i feel this way. i feel bad about it sometimes but not enough to ket them inside the house so they spend most of the day outside. anyone else felt like this once they gave birth or is it just me ??

I feel somewhat that way with my cat. He was my everything, my baby before my son was born. I've had him since he was 6 weeks old. He's now a little over 7 years old. We would always cuddle and sleep together and he would get all the attention but ever since my son was born I don't pay that much attention to him and he always craves and tries to get my attention by laying behind me or staying on my lap, even with my son on me. I feel guilty having to push him off me all the time and I know he feels it.. but he is pretty good around Landon and he hasn't hurt him, even with Landon banging him up and down with his hand and pulling at his fur. I highly doubt he would do anything harmful to him cuz he knows who he is and he's fragile and a baby. But sometimes I wish I could send him to my dads like before and stay there until Landon is old enough.
Yeah I understand all of that. As long as it's not super cold where you're at and they have full access to food and water they're fine...things change when you have a little one and that becomes your priority..as it should!
i do but right now im still recovering & it hurts to do a lot of things. i actually bought a grooming kit before i delivered for the same reason, but since bending over hurts & stuff im waiting until im 100% recovered so i can groom them & let them back inside. they do come inside to sleep & after 9 pm to just roam around the house for an hr or 2 but its just not the same 😔 @rmreed
I mean either way the fur will still be around the house...I wish I could have them groomed for you so it's easier. Do you have a de-shedding brush??
yeah 😞 the reason im keeping them outside for now is bc i need to have them groomed but with all the baby stuff i need for my son, its just not in my budget right now. the other day i was making my son a bottle & i found one of my dog's hairs on the top of the cap as i was about to put the nipple on the bottle. that was when i just decided it was best to keep them outside. only one of my dogs shed & it never really bothered me at all before but now it does a lot. 😞 @rmreed
My dog was my baby for sure but I don't let him up on the bed or couches anymore with the baby. I don't have the heart to keep them outside or anything but things have definitely changed
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
