Ladies! What was your preference? Did you put your baby in a bassinet as a newborn or straight to their crib? I wanted…

It just scares me because I feel there is to much wiggle room. I like to be able to say he or she isn't going anywhere. Maybe I'm just over protective even though it's been used for years. 😂😂

Or maybe the playpen/bassinet combo I've seen at other stores to start that's an option too

Not pregnant yet but that doesn't stop me from planning lol I wanted to get a side crib (it attaches to your bed frame as not to move and gives baby it's own space while being extremely close. But my SO still thinks it's unsafe cause he is against co sleeping for safety reason so we are planning to maybe just have a a regular crib in our bedroom then move it to the spare bedroom once baby is big enough

We used the bassinet for the first few weeks for bedtime and the crib/ bassinet 50/50 for naps. At about a month we put him in his crib all the time. We have a small apartment though.

I'm doing a bassinet since baby will be in our room anyway till he or she grows out of it. I'm getting the pack n play with the bassinet like i did with my son and later we will get a crib

My first son was in his own crib by a month old. My second son is 16 months old and still in bed with me. 😂we did the cosleeper thing but as he got bigger I kept him in bed with me.

I don't have my baby yet but I plan on using a bassinet. Keeping the baby in your room for at least 6 months is shown to reduce the risk of sids!

We had a co sleeper that attached to the side of our bed... it was hand made from wood, so it was pretty sturdy, and I kept her in that until she was almost 9 months... and then transitioned her to the crib... but I had to push the crib next to our bed because she would not sleep if she could not smell me... after a couple of months, we moved it a couple feet from the bed, she did fine, after a couple more months moved it across the room, and then by about 14 months she was in her own room

I breastfeed so it'd easier just grabbing her from right next to the bed.

I put mine im a bassinet, it's pretty sturdy, it's a swaddle rocker bassinet. I also have a big dog 86lbs. and tbh when she is around baby she is really careful. she just goes up to the bassinet and rest her head smelling baby lol.

That might just work! Because I plan to breastfeed and pump as well.

Its not that she's out of control she's a year old and still runs sometimes when she gets excited. Although she's very well with kids as i have nieces nephews and even my hubby has a really long brother and other children who all do well with her. I just think basinets are flimsy and I feel they might tipm

@beebaby was there any reasoning to just at night? Honestly they'd both be in our room close by.
