So apparently pregnancy alll of a sudden isn't a medical reason for them to approve my leave even though they told me I can go out on leave 30 days before my due date. Fuckingg hate my hr department. Now they are saying I can't get it until the day I give birth because ...you know.. that's what I need to worry about after pushing a human out of me smh

@immabeecourtney, @mrsgraffiti, I called the doctor office right after just to let them know they are allowed to give hem medical information because this is bull...stats's disability was approved with no issues but of course the job has to be extra

👆🏻I came here to say just that. The only thing with FMLA is that they will only cover you for 12 weeks. So if u go out 30 days prior, you'll only have 60 days home after birth. But talk to your doc about that!!

Have your dr send a note. They can't deny your leave based on fmla laws

That's odd.

Been there for 17 months so well over a year. I called them to verify all this information and was told multiple times "in the state of nj your allowed to leave 30 prior due date" now all of a sudden it has to be due to medical issues with myself like wtf @beebaby,

So by that you have to go into work while in labor, because there's no guarantee you'll give birth the same day labor starts? I don't get it....I'd think employers would rather you have scheduled leave so they aren't scrambling to find coverage or other people to do your work last minute!
