I have a question i need to ask everyone how can i get my baby to sleep in her crib if she is use to sleeping with me?

i put his crib right next to my bed and just put my hand on him and talk to him when he cries. he usually sleeps with me but he sleeps with no problem in his crib now ( we are still in the same room but the crib is not by my bed no more
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I see so many mommies giving their babies rice cereal to sleep even though it's not recommended? Why?
I feel like I'll never sleep normally again
