My son is now one month old and I feel like I kinda have the routine down. But I'm still soo tired! sometimes I nap when he does but I feel like it doesn't help much. Any tips anyone can give me that have helped them stay awake or atleast feel more energized? Also I don't drink coffee because my heart can't handle it.

@ginz, he drinks around 3oz each feeding but still only sleeps around 2 hours I'm really glad it's got a lot better he use to wake up every 45 min to eat that was the worst. lol I hope he starts sleeping a little longer soon. But yea that does help to tell myself this is the reality of things I just wish I had more energy. Thankyou for helping

First month is tough. telling myself that I will not get no more than 2hrs of sleep at a time helped me accept it and handle things better. Around the 1 month mark, I'd bottle feed breast milk about 2.5-3oz at her midnight feeding and that would help her sleep up to 4 hrs. Don't martyr yourself or be afraid to ask for help too!

Sometimes it just takes a routine. And my daughter sleeps about 6 to 8 hours straight without a bottle now. Well usually... she's getting 3 teeth in right now so it's been a little tougher these past 3 days. 😞That's a lot to handle for a 3 month old.

Thankyou so much! I will try all that tomorrow. I really need to do more tummy time with him. How long does your daughter stay asleep at night? @dearsandy

I can't drink coffee either because it makes me really jittery. Green tea has lighter caffeine so maybe you could handle that. And try keeping him awake a lot longer during the day... especially if you know you'll be going to bed in an hour or so. A bedtime routine helps too. It relaxes them. I massage my daughter, put her on tummy time so it tires her out and read to her. And make sure that during the day you let a lot of light in and noises and at night lights out and quiet so he learns the difference between day and night. I think all that helped my daughter do good luck!

Thankyou @dearsandy, I will make sure to go to the store and get some green tea tomorrow see if it works. And yesss hahaha the same thing happens to me he will wake up around 4 or 5am and won't go back to sleep even tho he already wakes up every two hours. I wonder at what age he will start to somewhat sleep through the night.

Green tea? And I feed my daughter while she's asleep. Every 3 hours because if I let her wake up then she decides it's baby talk time and will keep me up from 1 am to 6 am lol
