Beyond stressed and need prayers. My husband had a second back surgery on my bday (jan 23) I had a hysterectomy jan 27. We are staying at my parents until we both fully heal so they can help with our 4 year old. Well now being that he's not working (will be out 3-6 months) we don't have an income until his short term disability kicks in (which took over a month last time). So now our lights have been cut out and we are gonna have to stay with my folks longer than we expected. Don't get me wrong I'm thankful for a place to go and for everything they are doing for us. Just nothing like being in your own home and having money to take care of your needs. We don't even have gas money to even go somewhere if we needed to. Don't like asking to borrow money. Ugh. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I've already cried as much as I can. TIA

I'm sorry for what you and your family are going through. I understand because I've been there. My husband and I almost other evicted last while I was pregnant. We were going through some rough times. My husband was laid-off from his job. But in due time, things got better. With faith in God and a positive attitude, things will get better for you and your family. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Have you tried the Salvation Army? They help out with stuff like that.

No I haven't. My dad has stepped in and helped us with our light bill. And my husband finally got his short term disability. Thanks for all the prayers.

Locking your doors We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?
