IS IT OK TO DRINK A CUP OF WINE A DAY OR EVERY OTHER DAY WHILE BREAST FEEDING?
@mommytinkerbella2017, I guess if it was positive I'd pump and dump, then test again like an hour or so later... not sure.
😂😂😂 ohhh..if its alcohol in it how long would u have to wait to breastfeed again @dreamermom
@mommytinkerbella2017, not for me... not sure about the other 2... I had a few sips of wine one time, and like half a mikes hard lemonade once... I felt like such a light weight after not drinking for so long! lol
@mommytinkerbella2017, the test strips were not too expensive! If you were interested... I only used a couple ended up giving them to a friend who had a baby just after me, she used a few and passed them on... SO like 3 mommy's ended up using them! 😂
lol yea i drank half a cup..but i dont think im gonns drink anymore @dreamermom i rather wait to i completely stop breast feeding
@mommytinkerbella2017, I still always used the test strips, alcohol in infants can cause SERIOUS health issues, even in tiny amounts... personally, I only drank like 1-2 time (and never finished a drink) while I was breastfeeding because it was not worth the risk... I worked SO hard to make that damn breast milk... I was not wanting to have to dump it! 😅 I struggled to produce! Lol

my nurse told me you're fine to breastfeed as long as you're not tipsy at all.
The rule is if you can drive you can feed. Pumping and dumping doesn't work because breastmilk is made from blood and metabolizes out your system like alcohol does. As long as you're sober, you're good.
They have test strips to test your breast milk to see if it contains any alcohol before you feed your child... I guess as long as it does not transfer to the baby you would be fine!
I'm pretty sure it's okay . If u can drive you can breastfeed. ( level of intoxication)
ok
