no problem hun sometimes its hard for newborns to poop it was times when my newborn didn't poop in a whole day. I took him to the doctors about it and they said it normal they're are still developing organs ! but take him to the docs to be safe tho ! 😊

The dr said the bilirubin leaves their body through their poop, and he's still a little yellow so when he doesn't poop it freaks me out that he's getting sick again. I guess I'll see what the dr says tomorrow. @furymoonboots

Have you tried just placing him in direct sunlight for a week? I had jaundice when I was born so my parents placed my crib by a window that had the most sunlight and it just went away

If there was sun I would lol my mom did the same for me but him being born in January doesn't let for much sunshine. @qxeenbreezy_

You can also try Phototherapy, or a bili-blanket. I saw that another treatment is just feeding him more often like every 2-3 hours. Because the more fluids you get into him the easier it'll be for him to flush it out

Yea we did phototherapy in the hospital and he was good enough to go home without the bili blanket, and he eats that much as it is. He just hasn't pooped today. @qxeenbreezy_

Hmmmmm you could also try to stimulate a bowel movement? And you can ask your doctor about children's glycerin suppository

My son was in the NICU for severe jaundice. The symptoms are lethargy, poor feeding, dehydration, yellow/orange skin and eyes.

Yea we were in pediatrics for 3 days because his was bad. He's still eating and waking up but he's just not pooping, and without pooping his levels won't continue to drop. So I'm just freaking myself out lol @marliemacieowensmomma

I've been massaging his belly too. I'm going to put him in the bathtub and let his legs flop around maybe the warm water will help @marliemacieowensmomma

Yes. Do you have a rectal thermometer? Apparently taking a rectal temp "stimulates" those muscles to push. You could try that too
