What are the necessary items to pack in my hospital bag for a c section? All these lists online are so long and seem like a little much!

@rylannsmommy33016, so pretty much anything I don't have they will provide me? I've been so wrapped up in making this list....I didn't wanna pack stuff I didn't really need lol.
1. Go ahead and pack a long nightgown and soft sleep pants/nursing top - However, O never wore the clothes I brought. I just changed into new gowns twice a day. Honestly it's messy and it made more sense and was comfy.
2. Pack things for the Hubs as well - blanket, clothes, Toiletries
3. Ask for the abdominal binder from the hospital as soon as they move you to a room. Wear it day and night for at least 1 - 2 weeks. You will need the extra support for your stomach when moving around, coughing, laughing
4. But high waisted compression underwear for after when you get home
5. Adult diapers are a must for at home after. I also took all the mesh underwear from the hospital and pads. I found adult diapers were easier for the first week after.
6. Ask for medicine for gas and stool softener while in the hospital and take it at home. The gas medicine is for your shoulder from the surgery and the stool softener will help you go to the bathroom without pain - take the MAX dose every day at home!
7. Take your pain medicine. Take your pain medicine. Take your pain medicine. Don't try to be a hero. You will need it for yourself and to take care of your baby. No one should have surgery without pain management.
Of course this is in addition to toiletries and basics. But THIS is the stuff people don't talk about that you need to know!
