Just wanted to share that I finally had my precious little girl! Born February 4th at 10:40pm, weighing 7lbs 1oz. My doctor told me not to go into labor Saturday because he would be in Utah skiing. So of course I start getting really strong contractions Thursday night and by Saturday morning they were 5 minutes apart. We went to the hospital at about 11 but they ended up putting me on pitocin because my contractions started spacing out further. I got an epidural and had to have it redone because he missed the first time. My nurse sat me up in the bed to help the baby come down and I started dilating QUICK. Then they said my doctor was on his way back and would be here at 10pm! I started pushing as soon as he got there and she was here 40 minutes later! She gave us a scare because she had the cord wrapped around her neck twice! But they unwrapped it and she started screaming. She was so alert when she came out, we did skin to skin and she breast fed right away for 30 minutes! She is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I'm so in love!
