ADVICE!! My one year old son has cyanotic breath holding spells.. which is where he gets upset, holds his breath until he passes out and turns blue, then comes to after a little bit of being unconscious. The doctor said it's "normal" but it literally kills me every time. He's done it only twice and his second time was tonight. Anyone else have to deal with this horrible "normal" thing???? And how do you deal with it??
My little brother when he was a baby, and my niece who's now 4 had that.
The following was done by my mom and my nieces mom without recommendations from a doctor:
•tried to prevent the crying and/or tried to redirect them when they knew they were going to cry
•hold them, rock them, comfort them
•sing to them
•blow gently on their face if they do start the holding of the breath
•make sure they sleep well, are eating well or they're more moody so more crying spells
I always felt helpless with them both. They outgrew it but it took a few years. I wish you the best.

2 years ago today my stepdad took his last breath right after he was able to hold my newborn dd. I believe he held on just to meet her. ❤️
Ladies please help I’m freaking out I’m no doctor or anything but my son was breathing weird so I started to listen to his check he was breathing like he held his breath then breathed super deep well I decided to listen to his heart it’s 84 beats a minute while sleeping but his heart doesn’t sound right it beats super fast then completely stops for about 4-5 seconds I’ve never heard this before like for that time I can’t hear any beating or anything in there I’m scared what should I do
Ok so my son just got his first job. He’s also type 1 diabetic. Well last night while working his sensor starts going off his blood sugar dropped to 52. They told him he could deal with it after he got his orders done, which in a way I understand that but at the same time if it drops low enough he can pass out and that won’t be good for anyone!! They wouldn’t even let him just grab some glucose tabs out of his bag. I’m so torn here because I don’t know what’s appropriate and what’s not.
Ok question I went into check on my 2 year old son and he was blue his face was pale and his lips were blue and his eyes were open. So I put his crib railing down and rubbed his chest and he took a big breath then started crying. I took him out and was holding him and he kept trying to fall back asleep. Then he started shaking. He was not cold cuz he has his warm jammies on and he dont have a temp. What should I do?
If on the weekend ur unborn child's father get his son from his bm and barely answers his phone and don't text....what would u think? Do u think he's spending time with the bm as well or he just wants to spend time with His son without being bothered?
@rainbow-baby, thank you so so much!! I really appreciate it
