Read a few studies that suggest having a few drinks per week while pregnant show no correlation to fetal alcohol syndrome and that as long as it's in moderation is safe, but I'm not sure what to believe. What do you ladies think? Is a single glass of wine OK?
Theirs nothing wrong with drinking a glass of wine while you pregnant @psychomomhasalibi I had a glass at 35 weeks. Just don't make it a consistent habit or go overboard with it don't try to get a buzz or nothing like that and I highly wouldn't go over a glass just to be on the safe side. Depending on what kind of wine you get some wine does have traces of alcohol in it. I had that one glass the other week and haven't had none since I'm close to my due date so theirs no point in it I rather just wait.
Non alcohol wine is LITERALLY juice lol I don't know what I was expecting but I was disappointed 😂😂
I used to drink quite a bit before I got pregnant. Like I probably drank several bottles of wine a week. I'd polish off a fifth within a couple days. So if I can abstain from alcohol during pregnancy ANYONE can.... lol. My baby's health is way too important and since alcohol affects everyone differently and there's no for sure limit on what is safe or for sure conclusion on what effects it can have on a fetus I don't take the chance. That's my personal opinion.
They make nonalcoholic wine. I looked and looked the whole time I was pregnant and found it about 3 weeks ago. I was so mad lol
@ssdj4 I'm not even talking about one glass per day! I just mean one tonight. Haven't had a sip since I found out I was expecting
My doc says to avoid it altogether. What's the point of drinking alcohol while pregnant?? Don't need it.
Normally if you aren't high risk then one glass of red wine a day shouldn't hurt but I would ask your pediatrician what they recommend. I had asked mine and I was high risk. She said not as early as I was because of my complications. Now she said if I was 36 weeks or something like that she would probably say one glass is fine.
Id say no..why take a risk.Whatvyou eat and drink your baby eats and drinks but im sure you know that..its safer to wait.
