@cammy_hammy16, yeah my first time nothing happened. 2nd time only my right leg went numb and then the third one worked but once it was time to push I could feel everything but my legs so I could feel my son stuck in my hips and everything it was terrible
I was so scared to get one but u will be focused on contractions mine didn't bc I was having a contraction while he was doing it.
It was a lifesaver lol it did burn going in but the burn is nothing compared to those contractions lol
@trice4990, with me they were still try to pump medication though the epidural. It only numbed my right leg. The doctor told me that I might have a slight case of "scoliosis". I just think my body just didn't take to it
@cherokee97 no problem 😊 I was terrified too but it was fine, didn't hurt a bit. You will be more focused on the contractions anyways.
@cherokee97, I was terrified about it. But it's really not that bad all I just feels weird. I'll be fine 😊
@cammy_hammy16, yeah they ended up taking my 3rd one out to do a spinal for my c section
@lisa_gandy @bentleysmomma thank you its helping me relax a little bit I was planning on getting a epidural but seeing everyone say how bad it is makes me rethink but I can't Handel pain too well..
@trice4990, It's really not bad at all. Im not the only then. I had to get mine done 3 times too I ended up getting knocked out for mine emergency c-section
@cherokee97, I thought I could handle the pain because I have gotten super bad cramps over my lifetime and a miscarriage and the pain of labor is a pain Ive never felt before and my advice is to get the epidural around 3-4cm so it kicks in before you actually need it because between 4-6 cm is when the pain starts getting really bad for some
@trice4990 people say that it effects the baby and that it messes up your back it makes me worried to get a epidural but I'm the type of person that doesn't deal with pain to well so I would be scared to do it with no epidural
Mine didn't hurt at all. Just felt funny when being inserted
@cherokee97 I just had my baby girl on the 31st and I did get the epidural. In my opinion it was not bad at all! At first they numb an area on your back and that is like a needle then they wait a few seconds and then start to put it in your back it doesn't hurt at all, it is uncomfortable though. I wasn't paying any attention to the lady when she was doing the epidural I was in so much pain I knew after she finished I was not going to be in pain and would be able to rest.
Feels weird but not that painful! It was more painful for me that I had to get it out in 3 times and all 3 times failed! The part that hurt the most was them ripping all the tape off of my back everything they had to redo it! I was having a screaming contest with a girl also the hall during that!
Nope I think the most weird thing about it the guy was like you're going to feel a "zing" and I was expecting it but he didn't tell me I'd feel it in my vagina lol I was like oh ok sir thank you for that misleading heads up! Lol. Just keep up with your pain meds afterwards while the area is healing and keep a positive attitude at all times. You'll do great love
