TMI post but is it normal for intercourse to still hurt 4 months post partum? I waited for the okay…

How bad does it hurt? I sometimes have pain from him going in, but that's it. I had a second degree tear and stitches

@bluepenguin Honestly like it's the first or second time after giving birth. Its not overwhelming pain but a strong discomfort and the discomfort will last for a couple days.

I was told it was normal but I was still hurting after 11 months. Turns out the doctor that stitched me up did a crappy job and I healed wrong and had a lot of scarring. If it doesn't get better I'd see your OB

@raehow I'll probably go soon and get checked. The doc that stitched me up wasn't paying much attention to what she was doing. She would talk to me while stitching and not watch what she was doing.

can't remember at 4 months, but it definitely still hurt me at 3. did you have stitches too?

I had a cut (big one). but tears are supposed to be more painful as they heal, maybe that is why yours takes longer :(

@ravens_mommy oh, I first had sex at 7 weeks pp. It wasn't that bad though, every now and then I'll feel a slight ouch but not unbearable...Sorry for not being a help 😖

It hurt for me 5 months pp (the first time I had sex) after having my vaginal baby. I tore and had stitches. Assumed I would have healed by then... take things slow. Stop as soon as it hurts. Make sure you're fully aroused & properly lubricated (lol I feel like such a creep saying that). The more often you try, the better it should get.

It was painful for me for about 6 months, I ripped pretty bad tho
