I hate when people say shit about mom's who formula feed. I worked with 3 lactation consultants and none could get my son to latch. we tried over and over and I was bleeding and he was dehydrated. my doctor literally told me do you want him to starve? Why? Because stupid bitchy comments that mom's make about how kids NEED to be breastfed was circulating in my head. worry about your damn self seriously. A fed baby is best. rant over.

@raquely I wish I hadn't cared because I feel so bad I let my baby go days not getting enough food because I let people make me feel like a shitty mom. now I feel so happy seeing him eat and eat well, he's finally gaining weight and he ate so much he was starving. I wish there wasn't so much stigma around it and I wish mom's worried about themselves and their child! I wish with all my heart he could latch but he couldn't. I wish people understood that not all mom's do it because they simply don't want to!

Honestly your doctor is exactly right. With my first I lasted maybeeeee a week breastfed and I didn't produce enough milk, and then with my son a few months but in the end when the baby isn't gaining the weight it needs you have to make sure it is fed and nourished. Don't even let anyone bother you!

my first born was formula fed and he's always been healthy thank God.. who cares what they tell you. they DONT know your situation.

who cares what other people say. i have 4 kids and i was never successful on having my 3 boys latch on me. they were formula fed and are completely healthy. you are right, a fed baby is best. as long as the baby is happy and being fed, it does not matter if it was formula or breastmilk.

A-freaking-men!! I wasn't able to breastfeed my little one...I just couldn't produce, I worked with so many consultants and it just wasn't happening, no matter what I tried or did. I hate the looks I still get when I pull out the formula from my diaper bag when I'm out. Some women just aren't blessed with the ability to...my son is all formula and guess what he's 6 months old and over 20lbs....so we should all stop the mom shaming.

my first was breast fed and my second was formula fed. i now have a 7 month old that is breastfed. i believe fed is best! every mom does whats best for THEIR child.
