So here is my story. I started having pains on February 2 at 3am. I thought it was nothing so I tried going back to sleep, but then 4am hit, then 5am, 6am, and finally 7am. At that point I told my SO to take me to the hospital. When I got to the hospital I was only 1cm dilated, but my mucus plug was almost completely out so they had me stay. I wanted to do this the old natural way without medications, but once I hit 7cm I could not longer take the pain. After I got the epidural I cried to my SO because I really wanted to do it without meds, but thankfully my SO made me feel good and was very supportive. I'm not going to lie, but the epidural made me feel great. I felt wetness running down my leg while I was laying down and it turns out my water was breaking, but slowly. Finally the nurse came to check on me and I was already 10cm dilated, but my son's head wasn't all the way down so we had to wait. Finally at 10:00pm it was time to start pushing and at 10:22pm my son came into this world. He weight 8lbs 2 ounces and was 19 cm long. He tore me up twice, but it was worth it. I love him so much. I never thought I would become a mother. It's the best feeling in the world.
