I read something that leaving it attached an extra 5 mins was beneficial, but any more than that didn't have any extra benefits

Personally, I don't want to deal with the placenta while loving on my little one... but I do know there are benefits to delay cord cutting... and we did delay cord cutting with my preemie so she got as many stem cells as she could... they lowered her down, near the floor, so gravity would help... even though it was only like a minute... I know it helped! With this one we plan on delaying at least the golden hour!

Instead of a crappy vitamin K shot which is straight up not vitamin at all , the cord can help to restore the rest of the blood to baby. Mother Nature knows best
