Question for MIRENA users I'm getting one out in today and I'm on my period will my period stop you think like immediately after putting it in or will it still continue on it's course?

It may make it a little lighter but I would expect to still at least spot. I've always gotten them right after my period. I usually spotted after getting it in anyway.

This is my 2nd one. I love mine. Don't get discouraged, you will spot for a bit and maybe be irregular. I spotted on and off for a month or a little more. I'm 7 months in and my period has stopped all together like it did with the 1st one.

Oh and make sure to absolutely take an 800mg ibuprofen a little bit before you go to your appointment.
