mommies help 😣 my son does NOT sleep at night. literally he fights sleep every time. I don't know what to do! I'm fine with waking up every 2 hours but he won't even sleep for that! literally once it hits 10ish he wakes up for feeding, I feed him and he falls asleep and then like 10 minutes later he's awake. then we wrestle with his sleep til like 1 or 2. and the cycle repeates until like 3 or 4 where he sleeps a good 4 or 5 hours. I don't know what 5 do anymore. 😭

Try giving him a lavender bath, massage and a warm bottle. Sometimes soothing music can help calm a baby... also start waking him up from his naps to tire him out so he falls asleep earlier in the evening....

@miller76 I can't do baths yet because his umbilical cord, but I will try that when it falls off! and we put on nursery rhymes/ sing to him and nothing! He will sleep for like 5 10 minutes and wake up the second we put him down. so I should wake him up during the day time?

Does he like to be swaddled? Maybe the room is too cold or doesn't feel close enough to you... I would try having him next to you even if it's in the bed. Some babies want to hear a heart beat. They sell heart beat gadgets for babies. He is probably exhausted too:( I would wake him up from naps. When you do wake him up read to him or sing.

Since the cord is still on I would give him a sponge bath and a massage.

Lol my daughter is 10 now and she still gets up at 5:30am everyday and jumps in my bed... and I still give her massages after a bath to help relax her so she can rest better.

definitely swaddle him. have you tried a white noise machine or app? swaddling and white noise will mimic being in the womb. it might just help. g'luck. it will get easier.

My daughter was like that at first, i make sure she was warm( she didnt like to be swaddled) i even a small heater. Also downloaded an app called sound sleeper, nd it has different noise & girl she loved the heartbeat one... So try swaddling if he doesnt mind and a heartbeat sound, & make sure he is cozy & warm. Sometimes they are fussy cause they are cold.

my son was kinda the same way, I spent a lot of nights propped up with pillows around me so he could sleep on my chest. that was the only way I could get him to sleep for longer than 30 -40 minutes at a time during night. but I'm not sure what I did, it just got better. once you can bathe him it will help because baths tend to wear them out, especially if they cry. & you could always try to let him cry for a couple minutes and keep putting a binki in his mouth, eventually he will take it. I know you don't wanna hear him cry but sometimes it's good for their lungs to strengthen them when they are that young. I also try to keep my son up as much as I can during the day, & I never let him sleep through a feeding. now my son is gonna be 2 months tomorrow & has been sleeping through the night for about 2 weeks. from about 9 pm to 7 or 8 am
