My husband and I want nothing more to be parents and have a wonderful family. But life keeps throwing us curve balls. I lost my job, he changed his and now I'm starting again with a new job. Then the furnace went out, then the car needed a new battery and tires. Seems like even time we get some money saved it disappears in a minute... feeling down today y'all. This happen to anyone else?
@rainbow-baby, yeah I totally understand that. Like replacing the furnace was something we couldn't do but when the fridge broke we replaced something from watching a YouTube videos.
BTW, if I know I can't fix something (especially with cars) I call businesses or car mechanics and get quotes but won't go to anyone before I read reviews. Im not going to some shady mechanics
Yes, unfortunatley. I'm youtube certified on everything.. lol.. literally I try nd fix EVERYTHING myself. I changed my own car oil and oil filter, I fix squeaky door hinges, if the sink is clogged: you betcha this gal will figure it out. I mcguyvered a vacuum cleaner to clean a dryer lint vent and sucked all that lint out. I've even put plastic over my windows during winter. Idgaf what others think. If there is some random chair we don't use in the house, I'll take that or any other crap (respectfully) to Goodwill and keep the receipts for a tax write-off, etc :)
✋ Got money saved roof started leaking, fixed it other part starts leaking and the check engine light on the truck comes on, then a chimney fire so no heat to keep the pipes warm. Just one thing after another. Like my grandma always said you keep trying to plan and life is gonna keep kick in ya
