I just drank this for the glucose test. A minute after I drank it I threw it up 😡 so round 2 tomorrow yay lol

You can always refuse a test if you don't want to do it. There's other way to check for GD.

I'm 38 and they only made me do it one time. Well I failed it so I had to repeat but that's my problem. Make sure it's cold when you drink it, it helps. And also try to use a straw. That helped me a lot

@priscilla1517, oh I know! It's a group of midwives, she's the only one I don't like... I told them if I ever get her again I will switch locations because she really pissed me off! I'm not a small girl, thick, muscular build but I'm healthier than most people half my size... I watch what I eat, exercise, we even have a vegetable subscription from a local organic farmer... I am over 20 lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant with my first... yet she came in and immediately started lecturing me on how I need to eat better, step up my exercise, and can't gain more than 15lbs, because I'm too heavy! 🙄😒 no mind you, with my first I was told I needed to gain 20-25, and I was 22 lbs heavier! She basically said I'm going to end up with gestational diabetes so she needs me to do 2 tests so we can catch it early! 😡

@dreamermom, that's ridiculous! I would seek someone else's opinion. 30-40 year olds have babies all the time with no problem

Yeah, my (not so favorite) midwife is making me do it at 14 weeks and again after 20some weeks! 🙄 apparently being 35, is like ridiculously 'old' and according to her, I am going to have all these complications/issues! 🙄 so she is making me do it multiple times! 😒 I'm not so thrilled about it! I think they gave me 20 minutes to drink it last time... so I can do it slower!

@priscilla1517 I didn't do it the first time because I didn't exactly know I was pregnant for a while. Then I had no clue what to do so I didn't go to an appt until I was 21 weeks... Then when I did go me and my obgyn completely forgot about the glucose test.... So I never took it lol

@rosannagreen27, yes you have to drink the whole thing with 5 minutes. This one doesn't taste bad it taste like soda the white one is way worse.

Do you have to drink the whole thing?! I'm one of those people who can't keep anything down they don't like, so I'm totally not looking forward to this
