Okay I need some advise... I was sick for almost 2 weeks... started having all sorts of pressure headaches... started feeling better, finally have my sense of smell back, I breathe easily through both sides... however, the headaches have not gone away! It's strange because when I wake up in the morning, I feel fine, as the day goes on, my head starts to feel more and more pressure... by bedtime it feels like a full blown migraine! I have tried every possible 'trick' I know... taken Tylenol, used ice packs, heating pads, pressure points, I've been hydrating... even took Tylenol with some caffeine to see it that helped... I'm seriously at a loss! I have an appointment on Thursday... but I'm seriously, sooooo tired of all this pressure!

@mamawallace1201, yeah... that's how I knew I was pregnant this time... I swear from the moment of conception, I was up 3 times a night to pee! 😂🙄 instead of my usual once! lol I would get so excited the nights I actually slept through the night because I did not get up to pee! 😂

I'm still up at least once a night to pee.

Well that's good! And yeah. I work in surgery and have given serious thought to adult diapers. I'm not pregnant now, but still. Once you have a kid it changes your body! My bladder will never be the same.

@mamawallace1201, I know! It's like I already get up 3-4 times a night! I told my husband I'm investing in adult diapers 3rd trimester! 😂😂😂 so far today I'm at 86 oz... if I finish what I have in front of me, I'll be at 124oz! But currently I don't have a headache... had one earlier today... but this very second I don't! 😍

Yeah, what sucks is that drinking that much just means more time in the bathroom! Especially at night, the bigger baby gets.

@mamawallace1201, my midwife says 100 oz, and I won't deal with dehydration... I've been really close to that each day... but I'll make sure today I get at least that much!

A good way to know how much water you should drink a day, is half your body weight in ounces. (Example: you weigh 150, you drink 75 ounces of water). I know of an all natural supplement that can help, usually approved by OB GYN. I can even give you an ingredient list to give to your doctor. It got rid of my headaches and allergies completely.

@shellbell0391, I just took a nice hot shower... my head felt better... but now that I'm out, I feel it creeping in again! 😞@owenjacesmama, tomorrow I'm going to actually measure how much liquid I'm taking in... I usually just guess, based on how many glasses I drink... but maybe I'm over estimating and that's causing me to be slightly dehydrated... I feel like I'm going to the bathroom about the same as always... but after being sick maybe my body needs me to kick it up a notch

@mamawallace1201, yeah I check it every time I have a headache... had preeclampsia with my first... SO I know it's nothing to play with... and it's always on the lower side of normal... 🙄😞 it's plain annoying! Wish I could find the 'smoking gun' but so far it's none of the normal reasons I would have a headache! I've even checked my blood sugar... and that's perfect as well!

Have you had your blood pressure checked? An increased BP can cause intense headaches too.

@owenjacesmama, I'll try to increase water even more than normal!

@shellbell0391, that was the only relief I got while sick... so maybe that will help now too!

I had the same problem. Take a nice warm shower and just let the water run on your head. Sit in there til there's no hot water left. If you have the time. It helped me!

I'm convinced I'm going to go into labour at any minute.....I'm having contraction but they're stopping and starting. Yesterday i was having contractions all morning then by the time I got to triage to be monitored they stopped. Now this morning I was sat having breakfast with my son and they started again. But more intense and longer lasting this time. My question is do I phone triage now or do I just wait to see what happens. I feel like I'm wasting their time always ringing etc

Headache I have a horrible headache that mostly hurts when I have to stand up and move around. Is anyone else going through this? I started spotting last night so I thought that my period was coming but I have had no more since then. I took a test last week but it was negative. I was supposed to start my period on Monday. I feel like I'm pregnant but I'm putting off testing to see if I start my period by tonight. I have four kids so laying down all day isn't an option. Does anyone else have a headache?

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
