You should always start with one room. Clean it out and than put things that you keep in homes if you can't find a home for it I would think about tossing it out. It may take a few days specially with having to take care of little ones but trust me after you do all of that it makes it easier to clean and plus it stay cleaner longer. I just got done clean my entire house out before new baby comes and now I have set days that I need to make sure I clean from top to bottom to make sure it doesn't get dirty or cluster with other things and before bed I always make sure I straighten up. Some nights I have the kids do 5 or 10 minute clean up and that helps out a lot too
