How do you curb swearing? He's obviously picked it up from us, I won't lie I've clearly sworn and he's heard me but you don't even think about it so you?! I'm so careful now and so is my partner.
He just keeps saying 'fuck' and 'fuck sake'. I even resorted to threatening soap in his mouth and he still carries on... I will be mortified if he says anything at nursery!
If you ignore it he carries on because he isn't getting a reaction, which you think would have the opposite effect... as he isn't getting a reaction you'd think he'd stop!
Do I tell him off? Do I put him on the naughty chair every time he says it? Do I take a toy away?
I'm not one for asking for advice but I'm stumped on this! 🤐
A swearing parrot 😂 Kids are gonna pick up words they all do. All you can do is try & limit it. One of my husbands nephews swears (he's 12) and his Mum does nothing so I tell him off. There are times at work when I've ignored it as I don't think they were sure what they were saying. If they said it in context then I would explain it's a bad word, we don't use. If used again then time out.
Yeah we have stopped swearing around him, weeks ago. He also goes to my nan and grandads who occasionally swear but they have a parrot which they had from uncle (top swearer) and the parrot say swears too 😫 if he's not a nursery or home, he is there. This is such a problem 😫 @sara-lou,
Tell him its a bad word & stop swearing around him lol. It is hard my husband does it & I tell him off every time. I've worked around children for years so I'm used to holding my tongue haha
I totally understand and that's such a good idea!!!! @babybump0503
I read this thing once where two people couldnt stop their young son from swearing, and when they reacted badly, as in telling him off or any other way of showing him that he shouldn't do it, it made him do it more. so what they done was started using another word instead of the swear word and when one parent said it the other parent would react how they would usually react to a swear word. when the child picked up on it and started saying it they acted shocked etc. and the boy started using that word instead. just some nonsense word that wouldn't get him into trouble. I'm not sure if i worded that properly but I'll see if I can find the actual story for you
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
