My OB warned me about the hospitals policy, like @rmreed, said. If complications arise it may become a problem. Also, hospitals aren't equipped to remove dermals so removing them correctly could be an issue last minute. They may actually make you take them out. My hospital had a strict no jewelry whatsoever policy just in case of a c-section
