I took mine out as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I'm only 14 weeks and my boobs are already leaking a bit. So I'm happy I did! There healed now and I don't have to worry about any contamination. I'd say the sooner the better! It took mine about a month to fully heal and even then they were still a bit tender and sore!

You don't need to do it now. I would wait until it's time to breastfeed

I had mine done an took mine out around 20-23 weeks pregnant. You'll have discharge from the holes at first but they'll close up good depending how long you've had them done!

I waited until right before in the hospital they want you to take out them anyways in case emergency at least mine did,

That's not healthy? When you take them out they discharge. They then take a bit to heal and there extremely sore! Breastfeeding on top of that? PAINFUL 😖 my doula told me to take them out right away 😕 @beebaby

if their sore when u take them out soak them like you did when u got them done it'll help @thismomrocks87

I guess it depends on the person but mine didn't discharge even when I took them out early. Nothing happened they were just sore from my breasts getting bigger @infamousmama_

I took mine out at 34 weeks incase I ended up having my daughter earlier than expected.i was induced at 39 weeks... I breast fed for 1.5weeks after delivery.. and at 3 weeks actually got to put them back in (they were close to being closed) I've had mine since I was 18, & next month I'll be 22. Did NOT want to have to get them redone lol

Mine also did not discharge either

But my boobs never got swollen or sore. So I could leave mine in a super long time

Yes they did but not like soaking through shirts. enough to Make a dot @infamousmama_

@chefsurahh i dont think ill get them redone. im gonna try and breast feed for a while..

I tried to breast feed for as long as I could.. but she was cluster feeding, I couldn't produce enough to keep up, I also had to pump, it was very hard for me. I had mental breakdowns...i hope the best for you.

@chefsurahh yea i pump with my 2nd son for a few only because he was born at 26 weeks n breastfeeding was important. so im gonna try again wit her. im trying to just pump the milk into a bottle.
