Sorry. Im new around here and I just need to kind of vent I suppose. My 1yo has NEVER been a good sleeper at night. She wakes up multiple times; and yes EVERYONE says she shouldnt and points the finger at me. LIKE I WANT HER TO BE UP SO MUCH! Ive tried EVERYTHING...rocking, feeding, singing, changing, cosleeping...you name it. Ive done it. Nothing works and Im only getting MAYBE 3 hours of sleep at night and lately around this time my daughter wakes up and it takes a good 1-2 hours to coax her back to sleep. Am I the only one dealing with this type of thing?

My daughter is 18 months and STILL wakes up 2/4 times a night. My pediatrician finally said, "some kids are just bad sleepers. You can always hire a sleep consultant if you feel like you need to." So. I called and she was very nice, before coming to visit and even charging us, she told us that routine is KEY. That kids benefit most of an exact time frame layout. Well. That won't work for us, as we both work every fluctuating schedules. So, we never hired her to come in... we figured until we have a good time-friendly routine down, there's no use spending $400 on a sleep consultant.

My son is 8 months old and since he was born was an amazing sleeper! At 6 months old he decided he didn't want to sleep through the night...I was getting about 3 hours of sleep too...tried everything you said! I felt like going crazy...but one thing that worked for me was I bought a Walmart wax warmer and lavender scent wax bars...sprayed his sheets with lavender frebreeze and every night before bed I give him a bath and I use the Johnson baby bed time bath....honestly...it worked for me!! Lavender suppose to help you sleep and it helped him sleep so much better he still gets up once a night but goes right back to sleep! Maybe worth a shot?
