How do you get rid of a clogged milk duct? Ive got a VERY painful rather large lump in my left breast and im need to know if its a clogged milk duct or if i need to go see a doctor. ive tried nursing in all different positions already and it hasnt gone away yet. Is there anything else i can do? Also trying to pump is really painful!

Nursing on all fours (seriously as much as you can). Soak in a warm bath with massaging. Keep working at it. Start with that breast first too.

Usually you don't need to see the doctor unless you have a fever/ chills/ nausea.

I have to go tothe doctor if it doesnt clear up because i have a history with painful tumors in my breasts and im at an increased risk for breast cancer. thats why i needed ways to relieve a clogged duct to see if it goes away. @krystyn

Hot shower while hand expressing. Helped me. I pumped a little out also but nothing helped more than the shower. Like a hot hot shower. Just let the water run on your boobs while cupping them
