I learned how to be selfless...everything is about my baby girl now. I can't do everything I used to do anymore. I also learned that you lose a few single friends along the way as well.

I guessing knowing for yourself that your a good mom has to be enough. You can be the best mom in the world and someone will tell you why your the worst. I should have but I wasn't expecting that.

@js_kidsmom, what I'm finding now... the only person I owe anything to is my son. I will decide what's best for him and what he can have and what he can't . Others may have done this or that in the past ... I don't care. And I have to stop caring what others think so much.

@belle6414 its easy for me to take care of my girls always have been. even when they both were babies. What I find difficult is the changes in your body, the craziness of losing friends and family, The feud between family, and what not.

My mil told me when you become a mom you never truly sleep again because Your child always needs you or your mind is always racing

I am experiencing the same @belle6414, I found out that being a mom is easier than everyone said it would be! 😋

The realization that 98% of "friend's" and sometimes even family will say they will be there when your baby is born and what not... when in reality they will not be. Like I say want to know who your real friend's are have a baby.

Probably the fact that when your mom said "you will understand one day" and those days are all happening. The worry some person that you have become because your life and heart now are outside of your body with your baby and you can't control everything.

People act differently towards me now that my son is here. Once he was born my mother and my relationship only got stronger. On the other hand my mother in laws and my relationship is awful. I try so hard for my son and his fathers sake but sometimes enough is enough.

As a first time mom I learned that everyone will tell you what you should do with your child but to just let them talk because at the end of the day I'm the one that watches him &' takes care of him .. Now that I'm a mom I found out how amazing it is to have someone wanting to be with you &' how hard &' tiring it is to watch a child &' do mom duties 😪

I honestly found out that being a mom I easy! (easier than what everyone said it would be) and I learned I need to stock up on batteries before the baby comes😂

First time moms: Hold on big shopping - not everything you see will be needed for your baby. Don't waste your money on unnecessary items.

When ppl say u won't get any sleep, you really won't get any sleep. U might think waking up every 3 hours is doable but when ur body goes through the traumatic experience of giving birth, trust me u won't have the energy to even move and ur gonna want that test

to listen to your own mom instincts .. everyone will think they know your newborn better then you and tell you what your doing wrong. I stopped breastfeeding because my MIL told me she thought I was starving my kid cause she was attached to the boob and ate every 30 min (unless she was sleeping) ... also hold your baby as much as you'd like! co-sleep if you want, they grow up WAY to fast for you to just put them down and not hold your newborn!

The scary stages of growth spurt that makes you think & overthink why you decide to have a kid. You become a human pacifier !! 👶🏽🍼🍼

How hard/tiring breastfeeding can get in the middle of the night 😁

That not every woman can just naturally breastfeed. Being a first time mom I was so excited to breastfeed my baby and got a hard reality shock when I learned I have flat inverted nipples. It also didn't help that my son has a tongue tie that just barely got noticed after almost 3 months. That's another thing is trust your motherly instincts. After doing some reading and research I had the feeling my son could have a possible tongue tie and sure enough he does. Always trust your gut!

I have learned that I am way more strong and dedicated than I thought. Before giving birth to my son I was really petrified oh the whole labor process. I watched my sister give birth and I was telling myself I wouldn't put myself through that EVER! I went through it and took it like a champ. I also learned that everything happens for a reason and that I'm extremely blessed to have my little family.

How when you have kids close in age they won't always get along but the good outweigh the bad.

how important it is to have mommy time atleast 30 minutes everyday or so

I have learned that being a single mom is hard and when you have your baby all your friends disappear. one thing that surprised me is how much I could love this tiny little person ❤

How hard it is to actually fit in taking a shower or using the restroom alone...

How much harder the work is to keep the marriage afloat while taking care of your baby

@adagogirl girllll I feel you. Hated when people would be like just stop being depressed stop thinking sad things. I'm like I can't. smh

About the stress and the joy that a baby can put on a marriage. Especially first time parents. There's a whole world of unknown out there and you have to learn most of it on your own with your own schedule.

How if you have ppa or ppd sometimes husbands, family, and friends just won't get it.

when your one year old throws tantrums, it is scary yet cute all at the same time.

How everyone's there for you when your pregnant but once your child turns about a month old they sucked into this vortex and are never to be seen.

lol I can go on and on.

How fast children grow and you shouldn't rush their milestones. How messy your house can get the first couple of months.

How having an epidural sucks.

How moms like me can have overflow of breast milk and would soak through shirts at least 3 times a day even with 2 or 3 breast pads. 😂

How some mom's can bounce back and others are left with hangovers even though the scale says they are smaller than prepregnancy weight.

I've learned that everyone will have their own opinion about your pregnancy, your delivery process, and how you choose to raise your child. But nobody knows better than you, their MOM!
