I wanted to try it but unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it.

I had mine put in about a week ago the cramping from it being put in hurts and you bleed a little but so far that's all I've experienced. Last period was December 3rd

I had it for almost 3 years. I had no period while on it and got pregnant a month after removal. I personally liked it but not everyone has the same opinion.

my doctor told me it makes you gain weight and random periods for some people

I had the copper iud and worked out great for me, no gain weight and had regular monthly periods

that's the thing. each woman is different. some birth controls can work great for some and not for others. I'm going to take the mini pill for now.
