Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!!

January 24, 2016 Levi and I arrived at 940 pm to the hospital. We were both nervous and excited. Due to complications with during my pregnancy I was going to have to be induced. They started the first round of medication at 10:00 pm. My body contracted non-stop all night. Luca continued to go into distress causing His heart rate to drop. A little tale after 7 am on JANUARY 25th my Dr came to check on me once again since we started. She didn't exactly tell me what was going on but that Dr. Boss would like to talk about found a C-section. After speaking with Dr. Voss I asked him when he was thinking of doing it? He said RIGHT NOW!! That's when the nurses started rushing around I could see the panic in their faces. One nurse even threw an oxygen tank on me. I said ow and she picked it up and did it again. I said why don't I just hold it. They wheeled me into The operating room. I was terrified I didn't want a c section; what weren't they telling me?! I was then given a spinal block during this I was told if I couldn't sit still she would have to put me to sleep and shove a tube down my throats. Thing was I was trembling uncontrollably because I was scared. That's when two nurses used heart dopplers to find his heart beat. When they do this every one in the room should hear it. There was silence. I was numb at this point. There were nurses crowding this room. You here we're 5 dr.s in the room. What was happening?! I heard the dr get snappy with someone on the phone and say the word emergency. My heart dropped. I looked at him and said just get him out! He started the procedure. When they pulled him out his arm was lemp. I didn't get to see him. He wasn't layed on my chest. He was rushed over to the warmer. Nurses and a dr surrounded him. I just kept asking if he was ok. No answer. Finally after what seemed forever I heard him cry for the first time. I cried too. They saved my babies life !! I asked Levi if he looked like a Luca. He just smiled and said he was perfect. Levi held him and showed me this little boy that would change my life forever. He then had to be taken to the NICU for the first two hours of his life. I was disappointed but I knew he would be okay. He was born at 809 am . I didn't get to hold him until about 2pm or so. He didn't get nursed immediately he was given formula. And I felt as if I was the last person to hold him. My birth story is far from perfect but my baby boy is. I couldn't be more grateful for my son.
