When did y'all start giving your babies soft human food? Like pudding and potatoes? My son is only 2 1/2 months but he's so advanced and I feel like he's ready. Did anyone else start their babies early?
I did when he was 6 months old. Their tiny bellies aren't ready to digest anything other than formula or breastmilk. Alot of people will also tell you that cereal in the bottles doesn't do a thing other than cause a choking hazard. At his age he is going to get up at night to eat. My son wanted food at that age too but I didn't give him any. They don't recommend solids until 6 months old.
@boymama0908, oh okay. That would be great if he could start sleeping longer! Lol
@boymama0908, you started giving him the rice cereal at 2 1/2 months as well?
It's not recommended to give any foods till after 6 months and hitting certain milestones. Anything other than milk or formula on a bottle can be a chocking hazard. The only time you should be giving rice cereal is if your baby needs to gain weight or has bad reflux and is recommended by your dr. Cereal at night will not help your baby sleep longer either.
