Getting my IUD inserted tomorrow and I'm extremely scared about the pain, cramping and bleeding 😭.

I mean that's personal preference. I liked them short. Your doctor could probably explain it better to you. I've only had mine short so I can't say what it's like to have longer strings. Mine are cut about 1" long. If they're too long you can always go back and get them cut shorter too.

I feel like everyone is willing to tell their horror stories but never the good ones. I won't lie, I was still nervous when I got my 2nd one in but it's so quick and easy, no big deal. I always had them cut the strings really short so they don't bother me and so my fiance won't feel them.

@jacesterlingsmommy, okay that makes me a little less nervous. I've heard such awful stories though

I spotted for maybe a month. It wasn't a real period just light spotting. This is my 2nd one. I've had this one 6 months now and don't have a period at all. I never felt any pain or cramping.

@jacesterlingsmommy, how long did you bleed?

It's not bad all all! Just make sure you take an 800mg ibuprofen first. I didn't feel a thing the 2nd time!
