Yes, our ped started having us give it to my daughter at like 2 1/2 months because we wanted to avoid medicine. My daughter has had constipation issues since she's been born. We always had to do rectal stimulation which made her go within minutes and it doesn't hurt her, prune juice or prune baby food. Finally at five months old her ped put her on Miralax once a day because it wasn't getting much better.
At four months old her ped said we could start giving her half a jar of prunes. I didn't want to start solids until six months old but I did give her prunes when she was constipated. When we started baby led weaning at six months old her constipation issues got way better

Our ped told us 2 ounces of straight prune juice, apple juice or pear juice. Prune juice works the best though.
