My boyfriends parents are the kind of grandparents to give their grandkids anything they want when it comes to food. They were joking about how they gave their other two pop and junk food before they were even 1 and how they're going to do the same with my son. I'm not okay with that at all but I don't think they'll listen if I say anything. It's so frustrating.

@rach5698, @beebaby, I wish it were that easy for me. We live with them and will until the house we're moving into is ready. I work full time so I won't be there to say anything, I'm going to tell them not to when he's old enough that they'll do that and hope they actually respect it when I'm at work. I just don't understand it though. Like I get when they're older and getting a treat at grandmas house, but giving a baby pop is too far.

We have a similar situation, my baby is only 12 weeks but my in laws are already excited to give her cookies and ice cream ( when that time comes)... I've made comments like "were not going to do sugary foods" ect but like you said they don't listen...I feel like it's my husbands place to step in and talk to his parents. I agree tho super frustrating!

That's bs, it's your child and you are his mom. They can't decide what his diet is going to be especially if they're going to disregard your rules. Just have him visit them less if they're going to be like in my opinion

Science! My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
What baby food did everyone start with? Is there a specific way you should do it or just anything? ( also please no negative comments I don’t wanna hear how I’m hurting my baby. I know what’s best and so does the dr so yup 😜) TIA! 😁

@milne10, it's so weird to me because I know my parents would 100% respect what I want done with my child, but his parents think it's funny to just do what they want.
